BEHIND THE DESIGN
Nashville native, Truly Alvarenga, concepts, designs, fits and sews all of her fashions. Alvarenga concentrates primarily on youthful fun and stated elegance, taking her designs from radical to the red carpet in one fell swoop. Bringing to her designs the naiveté of youth, a good dose of street cred, and a fearlessness to go from "mild to wild" and throw in anything she wants. Watching her design and sew is like a one person episode of Iron Chef ingredients, flavoring, sketches, scissors, a very nervous sewing machine... it's like seeing a ballet set to rock and roll. Her look can best be described as funky, eclectic, prim, young, stoic, or a combination of all of these, depending on the day of the week, or even the hour
of the day.
